Training plan generator

Turn a 5K or 10K time trial into target paces, predicted finish times and a week-by-week plan for a half or full marathon.

What did you run?
Your time

The table covers 5K times from 20:00 to 40:00.

What are you training for?

How it works

01

Run a time trial

A hard 5K or 10K on a flat route, rested. That single number is what every pace below is built from.

02

Pick the race

Half marathon or marathon. It decides the length of the block, the long run and which interval session you do.

03

Take it with you

Print it, save it as a PDF, or copy the link — the URL carries your times, so it opens the same plan anywhere.

Where the numbers come from

A published table of running performance equivalents, twenty-two rows of it, from a 20:00 5K to a 40:00 5K. A time between two rows is interpolated between them; a time outside the table is answered with the nearest row and the page says so rather than pretending. A 10K time is converted to its 5K equivalent first.

None of it is coaching, and none of it knows anything about your injury history or how many weeks you actually have. Talk to a professional before starting a new training block.
